Expungement clinic in the news

We’ve partnered with Wake Forest University School of Law students on a series of Expungement Clinics that have been held at Samaritan in the evenings. The students’ work received some well-deserved recognition in the Winston-Salem Journal recently. You can read the story here.

Lovefeast at our shelter

On December 8, New Philadelphia Moravian Church held a Lovefeast for guests in our shelter. About 35 guests attended, in addition to staff, board and donors. The Winston-Salem Journal came and wrote a story about the service. You can read more about it here.


Tyrone in the spotlight.

Tyrone Baldwin, our go-to guy for anything related to our building, is also one of the first graduates of our Project Cornerstone program. He went from having it all to losing it all and he says he’d be dead or in prison without Cornerstone. His story recently caught the eye of a Winston-Salem Journal reporter….
